This week hasn’t been the best. I know I’ve said that a few times in blog posts now, but let’s just say this semester has thrown several curve balls my way. One thing that this has made me appreciate is when people are just nice! It’s such a simple things that someone can do, but can be kind of rare which is a sad thing. A smile and friendly conversation can turn someone’s outlook on the week completely positive!
What I experienced tonight is a perfect example of this. To add some context to this story I’ll say that the last few days have not been very kind to me! I actually got so overwhelmed and worried about everything I have going on that I had a bit of a break down yesterday. I don’t cry very often, and never in front of people, so when I do you know something’s quite wrong. Then today rolled around and to be honest I wasn’t really feeling it. I went to my classes, took a bunch of notes, picked my sister up from school, and then went in to work.
Work was a typical shift. It’s always fun spending time with my wonderful coworkers, and customers will be costumers. My shift came to an end and I decided to treat myself to a trip to Sephora. I’ve been needing a new brow pencil and just someone to teach me how to do my brows in general because I was clueless! Now, another thing to know about me is I don’t ask for help very often. I’m more of a “figure it out yourself” person, but I thought I’d give the staff at Sephora a try! I am so glad I did because the nicest lady helped me. She explained everything really well and super friendly. I learned how to do my brows the right way and got some great tips to make them look best!
The whole experience was really great and the fact that she was just so bubbly and nice made my day. I know to some people it may not sound like much, but because of the semester I’ve been having, a stranger being nice to me made me feel so much better. The point of this story being, be nice to everyone you meet. You never know what someone might be going through or how a simple act of kindness could change their view.
Hope you all have a great weekend!
ps- shoutout to Tara from Sephora in the Johnson City Mall. You are a rockstar!
